AdZone Research Appoints Former Citibank Information Technologies Senior Analyst as Director of its Global Intelligence Data Operations

CALVERTON, N.Y., Feb. 5, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- AdZone Research, Inc. (OTCBB:ADZR), a pioneering Internet surveillance technology solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Thomas J. Madigan, a former senior information technologies analyst with Citibank -- a principal operating unit of global financial services holding company Citigroup, Inc. (NYSE:C) -- as Director of AdZone's Global Intelligence Data operating unit.

"We are especially fortunate to have recruited Tom Madigan to our company," said AdZone Chairman and CEO Charles A. Cardona, III. "He has a rich background in information technology applications with a host of major companies, and his international online security data expertise makes him uniquely qualified to oversee AdZone's global intelligence data gathering daily operations."

"During his tenure at Citibank," Cardona continued, "Tom was responsible for creating global data security systems that controlled and ensured the safe transactions of billions of dollars weekly. Moreover, during his 20-year career in information technology as both an employee and consultant to major companies, he has gained unique and diverse experiences that will be of enormous help to AdZone as it grows."

Other firms with whom Madigan has been affiliated include Merrill Lynch, GE Capital Services Corp., Chase Manhattan Bank, Long Island Lighting Company, Synergy Gas Corporation, Public Service Electric & Gas Company of New Jersey, Renaissance Worldwide, Inc., ComSys/Cambridge Technical Services, EJR Computer Associates and Robert Reed Associates. In 1998 Madigan founded his own consulting firm, TJM Information Technologies, Inc.

"The appointment of Tom Madigan will help our focus on identifying potential Internet-related threats, and our growing role in Homeland Security efforts, as well as the protection of people worldwide from terrorism," said Cardona.

Madigan received an associate's degree from Suffolk Community College in 1977, an EDP certification from Grumman Data Systems Institute in 1982, and a B.S. degree in math and physics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1984. He is a Suffolk County resident.

In other AdZone developments, Cardona noted, "we are hopeful over the next several months of obtaining private financings, and signing certain letters of intent or memoranda of understanding, as well as actual up-front revenue contracts, which we are in the process of negotiating with both governmental agencies and major defense contractors that are focused on anti-terrorism efforts.

"As we have indicated previously, because of national security considerations we are not at liberty to discuss the scope or nature of such activities at this time, but anticipate being able to reveal all non-secret information as these events unfold."
