Lynda Clemmons Named as one of the '50 Key Women in Energy' by Rader Energy and Commodities Now Magazine


STAMFORD, Conn., Feb. 12, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Lynda Clemmons, President and Chief Operating Officer of XL Weather & Energy Inc., an XL Capital company and provider of weather and energy risk management products, has been named as one of the "50 Key Women in Energy" worldwide for 2002 by Rader Energy and Commodities Now magazine.

Clemmons was selected as a "Visionary" for "...having the foresight and courage to initiate and carry out change" in her work helping to pioneer and spearhead the development of the weather risk management industry.

"This is a great honor and I look forward to continuing to help build and promote the weather risk industry around the world," said Clemmons, who also serves as President of the Weather Risk Management Association, the industry's international trade group.

The awards, sponsored by Jacobs Consultancy and Entergy-Koch, LP, were presented at a ceremony February 11 in Essen, Germany. Fifty women working in the energy industry around the world were selected.
