STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Feb. 27, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Growth company Axis Communications has chosen PartnerTech to be its exclusive contract manufacturer in Sweden. The collaboration, which covers the manufacturing, final assembly and distribution of all products that Axis makes in Sweden, will boost PartnerTech's annual sales by approximately SEK 40 million.
Axis Communications decided to extend its collaboration with PartnerTech in connection with moving its distribution center to Lund. While PartnerTech staffs a great deal of the center, the operations of the two companies will be more tightly integrated.
According to PartnerTech CEO Mikael Jonson, "Collaborating more closely with Axis in this way is both an honor and a challenge for us. Our strategy involves constantly accompanying and supporting our customers as they change and evolve -- and that's exactly what is happening with Axis."
Jorgen Lindquist, deputy CEO of Axis Communications said, "We named PartnerTech our 2002 Supplier of the Year based on its ability to meet our requirements for reliable delivery, quality, flexibility and service. The next logical step was to choose the company as our contract manufacturer in Sweden."
From now on, PartnerTech's manufacturing unit in Vellinge will be manufacturing Axis Communications products in Sweden. In order to ensure optimal logistics, some of the final assembly will be done at the distribution center in Lund.
