STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 13, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Boliden (TSE:BLS) (Other OTC:BDNNF) (Stockholm:BOL) today announced Gun Berglund and Marie Berglund have been nominated as new members of the Boliden Board of Directors. Shareholders, representing more than 33 per cent of the total number of votes in the company, support the nomination.
The following board members have been nominated for re-election, Carl Bennet, Goran Collert, Jan Johansson, Kjell Nilsson, Anders Sundstrom and Sverker Martin-Lof. Bengt Lofkvist has asked not to be re-elected.
The Annual General Meeting will be held on May 5, 2003 in Skelleftea, Sweden.

Gun Berglund, 49
Education: MSc in Engineering -- Minerals Technology, Lulea University of Technology Employment: Director for Raw Materials and Recycling, SSAB Tunnplat in Lulea since 1999. Gun has held a number of management positions in SSAB Tunnplat in Lulea since 1990. Previously, Gun Berglund was a research engineer at the Lulea University of Technology.
Marie Berglund, 44
Education: MSc in Biology -- Ecology, Umea University. Employment: Environmental Director, Botniabanan AB, Ornskoldsvik since 1999. Marie has held numerous positions within environment-related work at MoDo since 1985. Marie Berglund is a member of several boards including The National Board of Forestry and the Swedish WWF.
