ABINGDON, U.K., March 20, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Bookham Technology (LSE:BHM) (Nasdaq:BKHM): the transmitter can double the operating distance on uncompensated SMF28 fibre when compared with OOK at the same bit rate.
Bookham Technology plc will describe a new design of 20Gbit/s optical transmitter with high tolerance to chromatic and polarisation-mode distortion and with improved spectral efficiency at the Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exposition (OFC) in March 2003.
