HUDDINGE, Sweden, April 16, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- LightUp Technologies AB announced today that Johan Harmenberg, M.D., Associate Professor, has been elected to its board of directors. Dr. Harmenberg is the Vice President Pharmaceutical Development of the Swedish drug research and development company Medivir AB. Prior to joining Medivir, Dr. Harmenberg served as Medical Director of Pharmacia & Upjohn from 1995 to 1997. Before that, he served as Medical Advisor of Astra Arcus and as Clinical Research Director of Roche. Dr. Harmenberg received his Ph.D. in virology and M.D. from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. He is also a member of the board of CCS, a subsidiary of Medivir AB.
