(Nasdaq:VRGE) and IVS Interactive Video Services GmbH today announced the immediate availability of turnkey webcasting services, based on Virage VS Webcasting(tm) software, for the Central and Eastern European market. IVS now offers end-to-end webcasting services, including application hosting, audio and video streaming, webcast event management, and video production, powered by the Virage webcasting solution. Virage is a leading provider of video and rich media communication software.
IVS also announced that Telekom Austria, the largest telecommunications firm in Austria, and OMV, the country's largest energy company, are the first customers of this new Virage-powered service. Telekom Austria selected IVS to deliver live and on-demand investor relations webcasts, the first of which was the recent announcement of the telco's fiscal year 2002 results. Additionally, OMV will utilize the IVS service on May 20th to webcast its annual shareholder's meeting.
