Skanska Appoints new Senior Vice President Human Resources


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 6, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Skanska (Other OTC:SKSBF) Tor Krusell, Skanska's current Senior Vice President Corporate Communications, has been appointed new Senior Vice President Human Resources.

In the strategy established last autumn by Skanska's President and CEO Stuart Graham, management development was identified as one of the primary drivers in achieving the strategic goals and therefore Mr Krusell will also serve as a member of Skanska's Senior Executive Team.

Concurrently, Lars Johansson will assume responsibility as Acting Head of Skanska's Corporate Communications. Lars has worked with strategic communication issues at Skanska AB since this spring when he joined Skanska from a position as Vice President at one of Tetra Pak's international business areas.

The appointments become effective immediately.

Tor Krusell will manage the HR activities with the staff that is currently in place. Tor has worked within Skanska since 1998. The former HR manager, Dick Caldera, is leaving the company for personal reasons.
