New Appointments at SKF


GOTEBORG, Sweden, June 13, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Christer Gyberg, Executive Vice President AB SKF (Nasdaq:SKFR) and President Industrial Division, will take up the responsibility as President of the Group's German subsidiary SKF GmbH. Mr. Gyberg will at the same time assume the responsibility of a new unit, Group Supply Chain and Purchasing, that will have the full responsibility for the SKF Group's purchasing, supply chain and IT governance. Mr. Gyberg will be based in Schweinfurt.

Gunnar Gremlin, Executive Vice President AB SKF and President SKF GmbH, will leave Germany and take up the position as President of SKF Investment Co. Ltd. (China). Mr. Gremlin, will be based in Shanghai.

Alrik Danielson, President SKF do Brazil, will assume the responsibility of President Industrial Division. He will be based in Goteborg and will also be a member of the Group Executive Committee.

All the changes will take place September 1, 2003.
