SURREY, June 16, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Serebra Learning Corporation (TSX Venture Exchange:SBR), one of Canada's leading providers of e-learning solutions, today announced the appointment of former Lucent Technologies senior sales executive, Geoffrey Goldsmith-Jones, as Vice President of Sales.
Goldsmith-Jones brings more than seventeen years of technology sales experience to Serebra. For the past four years, Goldsmith-Jones held sales and management positions with Lucent Technologies and Ascend Communications in San Francisco. In his roles as Senior Sales Executive and Global Strategic Accounts Manager, Goldsmith-Jones achieved President's Club four consecutive years. Before Lucent, he was a Regional Channels Manager at Digital Equipment Corporation.
Over the course of his sales career, Goldsmith-Jones has consistently over-achieved his sales quotas while developing and leading sales organizations to drive aggressive sales strategies to success by penetrating the large-enterprise market.
In his new role at Serebra, Goldsmith-Jones will be responsible for accelerating Serebra's sales strategies in direct sales opportunities and positioning Serebra for rapid penetration into large-scale enterprise and international accounts.
