Stockholm International Fairs: BioTech Forum 2003 -- Scandinavia's Largest Meeting place for Biotechnology

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 17, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Stockholm International Fairs: now in its fourth year, BioTech Forum has rapidly transformed into the largest and most influential Scandinavian meeting place for the biotech industry and a primary networking event on the European scientific circuit. The annual exhibition today represents a leading international venue for all aspects of biotechnology and is widely recognised as an essential date in the biotech calendar.

Sweden and its Scandinavian neighbours have a long standing tradition for excellence in the medical field as has been seen with the high proportion of scientific products and companies that have made positive impacts on global health. In recent years the advanced collaboration that exists between basic research and the business and financial communities has been strengthened at local, national and international levels to ensure that more biotechnology breakthroughs are brought to the market-place.

BioTech Forum

As well as dealing with issues in pharmaceuticals and medicine, ethics, and patent issues, BioTech Forum also provides access to venture capital, B2B-partnerships, science parks, biotechnology clusters and university programmes. A winning formula has been achieved by hosting an exhibition co-hosted by a Science Conference, B2B Partnering Event and an Investment and Partnership Forum that encompasses the numerous components of a complex industry.
