LONDON, August 05, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- lastminute.com plc (Nasdaq:LMIN) are pleased to announce the appointment of Sven Boinet as a non-executive director with effect 5 August 2003. Sven, who is 50 years old and based in France, has 15 years global hotels experience.
From an initial career in project management and consultancy, Sven has held a number of senior positions with the Accor Hotel Group from 1988 to January 2003. Latterly, at Accor, he was responsible for a number of brands in 85 countries and was on the Executive Board. He was responsible for the Hotels and Gaming Division which had sales of 10 billion and 80,000 employees. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Pierre et Vacances and Geodis.
Sven has an Engineering degree from ECP in Paris and holds an MSc from Stanford University.
