Boliden: European Commission's Statement of Objections Regarding Copper Plumbing Tubes


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 5, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Boliden AB (TSE:BLS) (Other OTC:BDNNF) has on the September 2nd, 2003 received a Statement of Objections from the European Commission concerning alleged participation in a cartel with respect to copper plumbing tubes in the European Union. The alleged participation does not involve Boliden's Swedish copper-tube business.

Boliden is cooperating with the Commission and is currently analyzing and examining the Statement of Objections.
