Intentia Signs Deal with World-Leading Candy Manufacturer HARIBO

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 09, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Intentia International AB (publ) (XSSE:INTB) (Other OTC:IAINF) today announces that Intentia in Germany has signed a strategic deal with HARIBO, the world's leading supplier and manufacturer of fruit gums, liquorices and candy foam. As a first step, HARIBO will implement Movex, Intentia's leading Java-based collaborative enterprise application, at its U.K. operations in Dunhills.

Following completion of the first phase, HARIBO plans to expand its commitment to Intentia and implement Movex at its five German sites. The implementation includes functionality to manage the purchasing, development, production, logistics, quality control, sales, finances and controlling business processes. The agreement includes the potential implementation of more than 1,000 Movex users in the years to come. Movex will replace currently installed applications. According to HARIBO's project management, it was the functionality of Movex as well as Intentia's one-stop shop approach that were the critical factors that led to HARIBO's decision to select Movex.

"Intentia was able to prove its industry know-how in the most credible fashion," said Rainer Heisel, HARIBO's manager of IT and organization. He continues, "International availability, modern technology, flexibility, high competence and excellent references in the food industry convinced us to select Intentia as our strategic partner. Another plus in favor of Intentia were the similarities in terms of size and philosophy of the two companies."

Jan Nilsson, president of Intentia in Central Europe, commented, "For us, the deal with HARIBO is yet another confirmation of Intentia's strength in strategic industries, and is also proof of an excellent competitive position. We emphasized the importance of future-safe technology and industry competence, a strategy that pays off and creates increased market awareness in our industry. With HARIBO, Intentia has won yet another customer that is a world leader in its industry and market segment. The decision by a well-known, world-leading company like HARIBO is proof of Intentia's credibility as a supplier. We are proud of the trust HARIBO has put in our company and we look forward to working closely with them in a positive and successful manner."
