Consequently, he spends much of his time wallowing in depression. Hearing strange noises from the decrepit home, Mr. Mundeen, David's elderly neighbor, fears the young man is becoming unstable. Knowing of David's troubled childhood, the old man re-establishes a close relationship with David, inciting him to recall painful memories. His girlfriend, Kelly, and best friend, James, also bring back buried memories, unintentionally expounding David's mental difficulties.
