Northrop Grumman Receives Air Force Space Command Contract From InDyne


HERNDON, Va., Sept. 22, 2003 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE: NOC) Information Technology (IT) sector has been awarded a contract by InDyne, Inc. to support the Air Force Space Command's Western Range Operations, Communications and Information (WROCI) at Vandenberg Air Force Base (VAFB), Calif.

Northrop Grumman IT will provide performance assurance and engineering services to prime contractor InDyne in support of range operations and maintenance, with an initial award value of $85 million over an eight-year term. The company estimates it will hire an additional 200 employees in support of this contract at sites in both California and Hawaii.

The WROCI contract will consolidate several existing contracts, providing improved service and cost efficiencies.

Northrop Grumman IT will provide performance assurance in the areas of quality, safety, environmental and security; engineering support in design, development, integration and configuration management; and engineering support of operations and maintenance.

The company will also respond to engineering task orders issued by the 30th Contracting Squadron, the contracting organization of the Air Force Space Command. The 30th Space Wing at VAFB is the Air Force Space Command organization responsible for all Department of Defense space and missile launch activities on the West Coast.
