STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 26, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- In January, Lansforsakringar Bank launched an MTN program for ongoing borrowing on the Swedish capital market. Initially the MTN program had a limit of SEK 3 billion. This limit is now being increased to SEK 7 billion. New participant in the program is Danske Bank. Foreningssparbanken is the Lead Arranger and the other participants in addition to Danske Bank and Foreningssparbanken are Nordea, SEB and Handelsbanken.
-- During the first half of this year, lending to the public increased from SEK 19.9 billion to SEK 25.3 billion, which results in an increased borrowing need. We successfully launched activities during the year under the MTN program and our intention is to further increase these as a result of the expansion of the limit, says Anders Larsson, CFO at Lansforsakringar Bank.
