Military Communications Technologies -- Major South Korean Order from SK Telesys for SpectruCell SDR Technology

IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 9, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Military Communications Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:MLTA) today announced that its Australian affiliate SDR Technologies Pty. Ltd. has released a jointly approved announcement to the market on October 6, 2003 confirming that a major South Korean communications company, SK Telesys ("SKT") placed an official purchase order for a SpectruCell SDR Technology development platform on June 30, 2003 and that the company has now completed the first stages of that order. Delivery is scheduled for November this year.

This is an extremely important validation of the potential viability of the SpectruCell SDR wireless operating system as well as of the defense version of the technology known as "PC4" (for Programmable, Command & Control, Compute, and Communications).

MLTA is based in Irvine, California and is currently expanding its operational facilities in Southern California to establish defense grade engineering facilities as well as Executive Sales and Marketing operations. MLTA also owns a significant holding in Military SDR Technologies Pty. Ltd. ("MSDR"), and its wholly owned subsidiary and operational arm SDR Technologies Pty. Ltd. (SDRT") both based in Melbourne, Australia. As well MLTA will exclusively market and distribute both the PC4 military SDR technology as well as the commercial grade SpectruCell SDR technology designed for conventional wireless protocols (CDMA, W-CDMA, GSM, and other 3G & 4G protocols and applications) network infrastructure applications throughout North and South America. It will also be the contractor in the USA for all Military contracts obtained in the America's several of which are currently under negotiation.

Korean Telecommunications Manufacturer Signs Contract for SpectruCell SDR Technology

Melbourne, Australia, Oct. 6, 2003 -- Military SDR Technologies Pty. Ltd. ("MSDR") announced that its subsidiary company SDR Technologies Pty. Ltd. ("SDRT") has completed the initial stages of a contract with SK Telesys ("SKT") a leading Korean telecommunications manufacturing company. The initial contract is for the purchase of the proprietary SpectruCell SDR multiple protocol wireless operating system for mobile network infrastructure.

The order was originally signed on June 30th 2003 and is especially significant for the Company. The contract provides for SDRT to initially deliver GSM and CDMA 2000 (3G) development platforms for mobile base stations. The proprietary SpectruCell SDR software defined radio technology will provide an unprecedented degree of flexibility and re-configureability to mobile base stations specifically designed for third and fourth generation mobile network applications.

SK Telesys is one of the Korean leaders in the development of advanced telecommunications systems and is extremely progressive in its investment in wireless infrastructure R&D.

The proprietary SpectruCell SDR operating system specifically enables the Korean company to advance their knowledge of flexible, re-configurable and scaleable wireless infrastructure architectures (base stations) that address current cellular protocols such as GSM and CDMA2000 and their application to advanced 3G and 4G voice and data service and their evolution.

The parties produce advanced equipment and solutions that can adapt to the rapidly changing wireless communication environment. This contract confirms the attraction of reconfigurable software based solution offered by the SpectruCell SDR proprietary technology that has an extensive degree of flexibility and adaptability. With currently available hardware defined technology, network operators face the constant challenge of expensive network upgrades to meet evolving new network functionality and customer demands. This flexibility of a software-based system is critical for both the development environment and more importantly for network deployment and operations as it provides significant savings to whole of life infrastructure costs for network operators.

SDR Technologies has the benefit of 4 years intensive development of SDR based solutions and its SpectruCell SDR demonstration and development tools allows companies to participate in advanced development using core SDR frameworks for a multitude of protocols.
