BRADENTON, Fla., Oct 9, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) - Power 3 Medical Products, Inc. (OTCBB:PWRM) announced today the launch of an aggressive marketing campaign in tandem with DeRoyal (www.deroyal.com) for the Company's SutureMate(R) safety device.
DeRoyal sells SutureMate through their 90 sales representatives located nationwide under their "Surgi-Mate" safety product line. This initial joint marketing effort will include an extensive mailing directed to Sharps Safety Officers located at acute care and surgery centers, followed-up by extensive product demos by the DeRoyal field force.
SutureMate is currently used in operating rooms, emergency rooms, surgical centers and medical providers' offices. This innovative safety device is specifically engineered to prevent needle sticks before, during and after suturing procedures by:
-- Protecting the suture needle tips on the mayo stand during preparation of the procedure
-- Allowing safe parking of the suture needle in between stitches
-- Providing a protected knife blade for easy needle removal prior to knot typing
-- Holding the used suture needle and protecting the tip prior to movement to the needle counter.
