Communications Research, Inc. Announces Tele-WRITER Compatibility with Apple Mac PC Systems

MAHWAH, N.J., Oct. 15, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Communications Research, Inc. (Pink Sheets:CRHI) announced that through their partnership for software development with the Arkansas School for Mathematics and Sciences, Hot Springs, Arkansas, the school was successful in integrating the Tele-WRITER AGS (Advanced Graphics System) Audiographic, Collaborative Computing System for the first time ever on an Apple, Macintosh PC. Working with Apple Corporation, in their Lab, Tele-WRITER was modified and successfully installed on the specially prepared Mac PC, which is rapidly gaining popularity in K-12 programs around the Country.

When told of the successful test, Carl Ceragno, President of Communications Research, Inc. (CRI) and its subsidiary, Tele-WRITER Corporation (TWC), said: "This is incredible, it's unbelievable, what a fantastic development! Over the years, one of the leading requests by schools and colleges has been for a version of Tele-WRITER that will operate on a Mac! Finally, a solution to all the hundreds of thousands of Mac users that wish to collaborate among similar units and in mixed sessions with PCs and Macs".

He went on further to say, "This certainly is going to put the Distance Learning and Collaborative Computing Industry on notice we are back and serious about reclaiming the market Tele-WRITER was instrumental in developing." With this new development, PCs and Macs will have a common denominator to exchange graphics, white boarding and programs even if not available in the PC Format they are using."

Tele-WRITER was the first audiographic computing collaboration system on the market. Communications Research acquired Tele-WRITER and formed Tele-WRITER Corporation in 1999. At its peak, Tele-WRITER-AGS had approximately a 60% share of the collaborative computing and thousands of users in the mid-1990s. The market has exceeded industry expectations over the years and currently has well over $2 billion in annual revenues and is growing.

The Arkansas School of Mathematics and Science is one of the most advanced and intensive programs for preparing exceptional students in college and university programs pursuing continuing education in math and science. The School is well suited for the initiative as they have a great depth of technical resources and has been a power user of Tele-WRITER for many years.
