Skanska sells three properties for SEK 144 M, with a gain of SEK 100 M


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 16, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Skanska (Pink Sheets:SKSBF) (LSE:SKAbq) Project Development Sweden is selling the properties Vallgraven 4:5 in Gothenburg, Hans Michelsen 10 in Malmo and Instrument 17 in Stockholm in three separate transactions for a total of SEK 144 M. The gain on the sales is SEK 100 M, which will be reported in the fourth quarter. The properties were sold to three local parties.

The Vallgraven 4:5 property in Gothenburg and Hans Michelsen 10 in Malmo are centrally located office buildings of 3,400 and 3,600 square meters, respectively. Instrument 17 is an industrial property of about 4,600 square meters of floor space located in the suburb of Aspudden in Stockholm.

To date this year, Skanska's Project Development has sold properties in Sweden and Central Europe for a total of SEK 5 billion, with a capital gain of SEK 2.1 billion.
