Meet Bob Mackie at Vegas Northern Lights Stores on December 13


LAS VEGAS, Dec. 2, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northern Lights, an upscale lighting fixture and home accessory store, is pleased to sponsor an open house with world-renowned fashion and accessory designer, Bob Mackie.

Mackie, one of the most gifted and versatile designers in America, has received nine Emmy Awards from more than 30 nominations, and three Oscar nominations. His name is synonymous with television and theatrical costume design and his work on CBS's "The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour" and the "Carol Burnett Show" propelled him to national notoriety.

In addition to costume and fashion design, Mackie has a loyal customer base for his "Wearable Art" program on the QVC cable television network. The Mackie glamour can also be found in his line of fragrances, his highly coveted collectible Barbie Doll series, and "Bob Mackie Home," a line of furniture, lamps and dinnerware."Northern Lights is Southern Nevada's main outlet for Bob Mackie Home accessories and we're completely honored and thrilled to host him in Las Vegas on December 13," said Eric Peterson, co-owner of Northern Lights.

The open house is scheduled for Saturday, December 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the south Northern Lights location (Eastern and I-215) and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the west location (Tropicana and I-215).
