MEDIA ADVISORY -- Techspace to Serve as Mayor's Example of How Small Businesses Can Thrive in the Right Environment

        WHO/WHAT:       Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino will lead an 
                        informal tour and brainstorming session, 
                        focusing on how, in a challenging economy, 
                        the city can better leverage and work with 
                        innovative technology and creative companies 
                        at the TechSpace Boston Campus.

                        TechSpace is a business center located in the 
                        SOWA district of the South End and is 
                        occupied by over 35 energetic and young 
                        entrepreneurial businesses whose members are 
                        mainly under 40 years old.  During his visit, 
                        Mayor Menino will interact with companies 
                        whose expertise ranges from music and 
                        promotion to cutting-edge cell phone 
                        technology.

         OPPORTUNITIES: Mayor Menino will discuss ways the city can

                        companies can help the city by using their
