Brent Rusick Joins Comerxia as CEO

Former Chief Operating Officer at Buy.com Brings Solid Background to the Leader in Global E-Commerce Solutions

HOLLYWOOD, Fla., Jan. 14, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Comerxia Inc., the leader in global e-commerce solutions that is backed by United Parcel Service (UPS) Strategic Enterprise Fund and Syncom venture fund, today announced that it has named Brent Rusick as the company's new Chief Executive Officer.

"Brent is a great addition to the Comerxia team and will guide the company through its next stage of growth," said Simon Zisman, co-founder and president of Comerxia. "His impressive achievements at Buy.com, coupled with his experience in pioneering e-commerce, will be invaluable assets to Comerxia."

Most recently, Rusick served as chief operating officer and founding partner at Buy.com, where he helped the company gain a solid position in a highly competitive market. In his position, he oversaw the sales, marketing, customer support and fulfillment operations units of the company. Prior to his career at Buy.com, Rusick held several management positions in the technology industry including Director of U.S. Channel Sales at Packard Bell NEC, Inc. and Regional Sales Manager for Tech Data Corp.

Rusick joins Comerxia at a time when global e-commerce, including cross-border sales, is experiencing accelerated growth.

Forrester Research predicts that online commerce will reach $6.8 trillion in 2004. While the U.S. and North America currently presides over the majority of online transactions, global e-commerce will gain momentum as Asia and European nations become more active. Further, research firm IDC forecasts that Internet trade will escalate to $5 trillion in 2005, fueled by nearly one billion global Internet users, or 15 percent of the world's population.

According to Rusick, "Comerxia has addressed the inefficiencies in this market where vendors and consumers need a simple solution to the complex logistics and marketing challenges of global e-commerce. The company has clearly developed that solution and effectively meets those requirements. I look forward to working with the team to lead Comerxia to its next level of success."

Comerxia resolves global e-commerce barriers for both businesses and consumers with a comprehensive, integrated technology, logistics and marketing solution. The sites currently supported by Comerxia feature more than 40 world-renowned multichannel suppliers, retailers and e-tailers including Buy.com, WalMart, Drugstore.com, Overstock.com and Ritz Camera.
