LOS ANGELES, Feb. 17, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Karma Media, Inc. (OTCBB:KRMA), announced that it had completed the production of its first television show for distribution in Spanish and English markets via the KarmaJunction.com website as well as satellite and cable providers. The first video product released by Karma Media is a travel show hosted by the Company's Chairperson, Estelle Reyna, entitled Estelle's Paradise. A preliminary English-language cut of Estelle's Paradise can be viewed at www.estelle.tv/paradise.
The final product, which leverages Estelle Reyna's worldwide renown as a Latin model, will air on television and will be released on DVD through standard wholesale channels.
"We feel our show will provide a refreshing alternative to the travelogues currently being broadcast, specifically in the U.S. Hispanic market, and we received terrific feedback after the screening of our initial pilot," said Dominique Einhorn, Karma Media's CEO. "We will rely heavily on our in-house distribution power via KarmaJunction.com for the sale of the DVD. In accordance with our business model and pledge to our charity partners, five percent of all gross sales will systematically go to A Special Wish Foundation (www.spwish.org). The KarmaJunction.com platform allows us to seamlessly promote this offer, as well as track and adjust our marketing efforts as we see fit due to market conditions," he added.
"We are all very excited about releasing our show on television and distributing it on DVD," stated Ms. Reyna. Commenting on her experience shooting the footage for the show, Ms. Reyna stated, "Our initial travel segment covers the beautiful island of Kauai, Hawaii. We spent 10 days on the island with a crew of six people and shot over 25 hours worth of raw footage. Shooting was not always easy as we had to constantly switch from our English to our Spanish script and vice versa, but in the end it was well worth the effort."
About Karma Media
Karma Media, Inc. is a cause-related technology marketing company. The Company has developed a marketing model that involves consumers, businesses and charities in a concept where one contributes to the benefit of the other in complete symbiosis. Karma Media's primary offering is a proprietary customer acquisition model that takes the guesswork out of a merchant's marketing budget by providing full accountability to the client on the back of a straight pay-for-performance business model. The power of the Karma Media concept resides in the fact that each participating merchant systematically opts to "give back" a portion of all gross sales generated to a designated charity.
