PHOENIX, Feb. 24, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Viastar Holdings Inc. (OTCBB:VISH) and Acclaim Records announced today that country recording artist Tyler Alexander's new single "Because of You" debuted at radio this week, picking up ten cities in its first seven days. The breakout song debuted at No. 31 on the Inside Country Chart and No. 37 on the Indie World Charts, with another 40 primary and secondary markets scheduled to add the track to their play-lists in the next two weeks. Acclaim Records and Viastar Distribution Group expect the Tyler Alexander album to be a success at radio prior to the Viastar Distribution release set for April 2004.
Tyler Alexander is receiving additional attention from the music industry as Billboard Magazine has published news of Tyler's scheduled television and film appearances in its Billboard Bulletin. Since the announcement by Billboard, Landers Film Productions has decided to have Tyler perform a singing/acting role in the feature film "The Yellow Balloon." This significantly adds to the artist's visibility and will enable Viastar to translate his performances into music sales.
Viastar's Director of Sales and Marketing, Jon Bergen commented, "The timing is perfect to launch a career Country artist such as Tyler Alexander, given his truly authentic signature style. The ability to cross-pollinate the marketing opportunities at radio, television and film will greatly accelerate our sales campaign on a national level."
