VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada, March 3, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Diamond Discoveries International Corp. (OTCBB:DMDD) reports that a new board and management team has been appointed. Messieurs Teodosio Pangia, Karl Glackmeyer and Tor Jensen have resigned as directors and Mr. Pangia has also resigned as an officer of the company.
The new board of directors and management team are: Mr. John Kowalchuk B.Sc., P.Geo.; Mr. Edward C. Williams B.Sc. (Bus. Admin.), C.P.A. and Mr. Tom Kennedy B.Comm., LL.B. Mr. John Kowalchuk will assume the role as President and C.E.O.; Mr. Williams, the Chief Financial Officer and Mr. Kennedy as Chairman.
John Kowalchuk has more than 34 years of mineral exploration experience with both senior and junior mining companies working in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Chile. He was a District Geologist for Placer Dome for over 6 years and was instrumental in the discovery of several world-class mineral deposits in Canada, including the Howard's Pass deposit on the Yukon/NWT border and the Kerr Copper Gold deposit near Eskay Creek, B.C. John spent three years with the Yukon Government as Coordinator of the Canada-Yukon-Industry Mineral Development Agreement. John has served as officer and director for several junior mining companies, including Admiral Bay (ADB-TSXV). John currently serves as an officer and a director of several venture companies.
Edward C. Williams was employed by KPMG from 1987 until January 1993. He was Chief Financial Officer of American Family Restaurants, Inc. from February 1993 to March 1996, and currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Williams Financial Group, Inc., a financial and business consulting firm.
Tom Kennedy has over 20 years experience with public companies, serving as director and/or officer on many boards. Tom is currently a member of The Canadian Bar Association and The American Bar Association (Associate Member).
