Nokia has successfully delivered the upgrade and expansion of Saudi Telecom Company's (STC) GSM network in Saudi Arabia. This agreement enhanced STC's service coverage, capacity and quality for its GSM network to cope with massive demand during the recent Hajj Pilgrimage -one of the highest densities of mobile traffic in the world.
The upgrade and expansion covered the areas of Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat and provided increased capacity for more than 2 million Pilgrims.
