SPOKANE, Wash., April 6, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Monarch Gold Exploration, Inc. (Pink Sheets:MGEX) is pleased to announce successful results from ground magnetometer surveys over the Company's WNA and BAT claim groups located respectively in the Goldfields and Aurora mining districts of Nevada. Total Magnetic Field data were acquired by Zonge Geoscience, Inc., a prominent worldwide geophysical survey contractor, utilizing a GEM Systems GSM-19 Overhauser-Effect magnetometer.
The goal of the survey was to identify geological structures and alternation trends that may be concealed beneath pediment gravels and underlying Tertiary age epiclastic tuffaceous sediments. The results of the survey at the Goldfields project appear to have identified a number of north-northeast and east-west striking lineaments, believed to be fault or shear zone structures which are revealed as contrasting magnetic lows and highs. Similarly, results at Aurora resulted in the detection of a number of linear features and magnetic lows.
It has been recognized that gold and silver mineralization is found in the area within silicified and clay altered trends, and within intense zones of argillic alteration. Thus, the use of magnetic surveys to identify these trends is one of the few effective geophysical tools in these districts. The Company is planning a reverse-circulation drilling program which is designed to test the results derived from these surveys.
In other news, the Company is also pleased to announce that it has been featured in a Research Report posted in the Special Situation section of the website "Wall Street Corner" (www.wallstreetcorner.com).
