SANTA MONICA, Calif., April 27, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- iMedia International, Inc. (the "Company") (Pink Sheets:IMNL), pioneers in the interactive digital media and publishing industry, announced today that they were featured in the April 19th issue of Advertising Age Magazine ("AdAge"). AdAge is the industry's preeminent trade publication with national circulation to over 198,000 advertising and marketing executives, buyers and agencies.
In a featured "Special Report", AdAge describes iMedia's unique interactive disc media as "The cutting edge in FSI (free standing inserts)." The article devoted significant space to describe iMedia's products and the vision of their CEO David MacEachern to utilize newspaper inserts as a preferred distribution method for iMedia's various products and publications.
"Samples with newspapers absolutely break through the clutter and get attention", says Mary Ann Rivers, a spokesman for iMedia's distribution partner Valassis (NYSE:VCI) as quoted in the same article.
In addition to an interview of Mr. MacEachern, also featured in AdAge were photographs of Hollywood Previews(tm) Entertainment iMagazine, and the four-color "polybag" iMedia uses to place its discs on the front cover of major metropolitan newspapers.
"The AdAge article proves what we have been saying all along, that newspapers and magazines are beginning to adopt discs to digitally enhance their publications. The advertising industry is starting to take notice", says David MacEachern, CEO of iMedia. "Our relationship with Valassis has brought our publications and disc media great credibility, and using newspapers for distribution allows us to reach to over 58 million households on any given Sunday."
