American Scientific Resources to Attend the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) International Trade Show in Dallas

Company Set to Debut a Number of Upscale Electronic Gadgets for Infants and Toddlers

NEW PALTZ, N.Y., April 29, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- American Scientific Resources, Inc. (Pink Sheets:ASRO) today announced it will attend the International JPMA Show May 3-5, 2004, Dallas, TX at the International Apparel Mart. The show is the industry's leading trade exhibition and is attended by thousands of buyers of juvenile-related products from around the world. It is ranked one of the fifty largest association-sponsored trade shows in the country. American Scientific Resources will highlight a variety of upscale electronic gadgets for infants and toddlers. The company will have a booth at the show located at RM 5E90.

American Scientific will feature a number of products including: a voice activated tape recorder, pre-recorded as well as recordable. The recorder has a nightlight that turns on for several minutes at the first sound of a baby's cry. The device, which will retail for $24.99, is intended to lull the child back to sleep and has been dubbed Nite Nanny. Also, the Porto-Therm will be featured. The Port-Therm is a nylon zippered warming device for baby food, or baby bottles. The carrier has a built in thermostat and is powered by a cigarette outlet. The same carrier fastens on to a baby stroller. American Scientific will be offering other products including its Kidz-Med products as well.

"Unveiling a number of our cutting-edge products for infants and toddlers at the JPMA show is an advantageous way for us to penetrate this market since buyers from mega-stores like JC Penney, Sears, Wal-Mart, Neiman Marcus, USA Baby and others will be present," said Peter Lordi, President of American Scientific Resources, Inc. "With two million new births and six to eight million existing children in the U.S., the market for our products is substantial. We have built an outstanding relationship with major drugstore chains such as Walgreen's and CVS and are confident we will be able to do the same with many of the companies at JPMA's show."

The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association, Inc. (JPMA) is a national trade organization representing 95% of the $6.02 billion industry. JPMA, formed in 1962 with 29 industry companies, has grown to include more than 400 companies in the United States, Canada and Mexico. These companies manufacture and/or import infant products such as cribs, car seats, strollers, bedding, and a wide range of accessories and decorative items.
