U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Awards Northrop Grumman Document Management Contract


HERNDON, Va., May 3, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has received a $25 million contract from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to provide document imaging across the U.S.

As part of this contract, the services provided by Northrop Grumman's Information Technology (IT) sector will allow the SEC to store, retrieve and prepare all paper documents used for court cases. These litigation support services also include scanning SEC Enforcement Division files, optical character recognition services, and conversion of digital data into a Concordance database, a specialized database that supports litigation services.

"We offered the SEC a comprehensive solution that provides the best value across all SEC regional and district sites within a tight delivery schedule," said Wood Parker, president of the Information Technology sector's Federal Enterprise Solutions unit. "We are pleased to support the SEC and provide it with these services to enable it to process its information more quickly."

Work on the contract will support SEC offices nationwide, including New York City; Boston; Atlanta, Ga.; Salt Lake City; Los Angeles; San Francisco; Philadelphia; Miami; Denver; Chicago; and Ft. Worth, Texas.
