PHOENIX, May 3, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Viastar Media Corporation. (OTCBB:VISH) announced today that the Company has become aware that unauthorized spam email is being transmitted about Viastar by an unknown third party or parties. The spam email is being sent by an unidentified person(s) or entity(s) and contains information which did not originate from the Company, was never approved or authorized by the Company and in fact, contains erroneous and inaccurate information about the Company and its business. Viastar has received numerous complaints about this spam email and is taking all necessary steps to investigate it.
In response to unauthorized spam emails being sent out about Viastar by an unknown third party or parties, the Company has asked its General Counsel, Richard L. Brooks, to investigate the problem.
John D. Aquilino, Viastar's CEO, stated, "We have no idea who disseminated this spam email. This email was not authorized by Viastar and we are attempting to determine its source. Let me be perfectly clear, this email should not be relied upon by any potential investor. We encourage anyone who received the spam email to report it to the proper authorities".
The email also states that the sender received $1,000 in cash by a third party to publish the "report". The Company has no knowledge of these statements and intends to investigate who might have paid for these unauthorized emails. The Company cautions investors not to rely on any such emails. Viastar does not send unsolicited e-mails of any sort to any person or entity anywhere, and has never done so. Moreover, neither Viastar nor any of its divisions, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees or agents e-mailed, or authorized any other person or entity to e-mail, any advertisement or solicitation of any sort to any person or entity.
