WorldWater Corp. Awarded Major Energy Grant From 1st Rochdale Cooperative


PENNINGTON, N.J., May 18, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- WorldWater Corporation (OTCBB:WWAT) announced today that it has been awarded a grant of $377,500 from 1st Rochdale Cooperative Group Ltd. of New York City, the nation's first urban electricity cooperative.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between WorldWater and 1st Rochdale to join forces in developing solar projects in New York. "The combination of our technology and project implementation expertise, together with 1st Rochdale's aspiration to provide green power to its customer base, is expected to bring cost effective solar power solutions to thousands of customers," stated Dr. Anand Rangarajan, WorldWater's Executive Vice President.

According to 1st Rochdale's Executive Vice President Gregory Wortham, "Working with WorldWater will help us advance (our) mission in a significant way."
