BALTIMORE, May 19, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- View Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:VYST) today announced they have received several letters of praise and recommendations for the Secure Scan concealed weapons detection portal from officials including the Port of Los Angeles and Veterans Stadium in Long Beach.
Martin Renteria, Administrative Captain of the L.A. Port Police wrote a letter thanking View for introducing the Port of Los Angeles to the Secure Scan. The Captain commented in the letter, "We are very impressed with the sensing technology that spatially identifies threat items coupled with the ability for the system to pinpoint its location upon a person. View Systems has developed a remarkable piece of next generation security technology that is safe to use by eliminating electromagnetic radiation exposures to users, operators and above all, the general public."
Veterans Stadium has been successfully using the Secure Scan system at various events football events over the past fourteen months. In a letter to View Systems Bob Soluman, General Manager of the stadium, talks about the first time he used the system. "We used the scanner for the first time at a high school football game where rivals were known to bring contraband into the stadium. A colleague and I were standing on the top deck where we had an unobstructed view of the entrance gates. We noticed that people were turning around and going back to their cars to 'unload' after they noticed the scanners in use. Obviously, they were deterred from bringing questionable objects in with them."
Mr. Soluman also comments in his letter, "Since then we have never used another conventional metal detector, nor do we hand wand. The weapons detector has eliminated a lot of the extra work."
