On the Nasdaq, Prime Medical Services, Inc. (Nasdaq:PMSI) and HealthTronics Surgical Services, Inc., (Nasdaq:HTRN) announced Monday the execution of a definitive Merger Agreement. Pursuant to the Merger Agreement, Prime shareholders will receive one share of HealthTronics common stock for each common share of Prime. As of May 31, 2004, there were 20,729,877 shares of Prime outstanding, and 12,384,000 shares of HealthTronics outstanding. PMSI traded 709,833 shares Monday to end at $7.01 up $1.07 (18.01%).
