Medicover Acquires CDL Analco


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, July 1, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Medicover has acquired 100% of Centrum Diagnostyki Laboratoryjnej Analco Sp. z o.o.(CDL Analco) a Polish laboratory diagnostics company, with operations in Warsaw and Lublin Poland. CDL Analco has revenue of 1 million. Commenting on the acquisition Fredrik Ragmark the Managing Director of Medicover stated, "This acquisition fits well with the Nova Medical business acquired from Capio AB a year ago, and will enhance Nova Medical's operations and contribute to establishing a strong and growing Polish laboratory presence for Medicover. CDL Analco has an efficient business with a good profile of customers and mix of business." The acquisition will be earnings positive. Medicover has agreed to pay cash of 1 million for the business, and will consolidate the results from July 2004. The transaction will generate goodwill of approximately 750,000.

CDL Analco has been operating in the human laboratory diagnostics business for many years and runs the children's hospital laboratory in Lublin and a laboratory in Warsaw, employing 59 staff. The acquisition will enable Nova Medical to consolidate its operations with a higher level of operational efficiency and bring a new level of professionalism and service to CDL Analco's customers.

Medicover is a healthcare company listed in Stockholm on the O List and operating in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, providing comprehensive healthcare for employees and individuals. Medicover also operates human laboratory diagnostics in Romania and Poland.
