The CCIT Awards are a set of three awards: CCIT Award of Excellence, CCIT Safety Award and CCIT Alliance Contractor Award. The Award of Excellence and Safety Award are presented to DuPont sites that have met certain CCIT criteria set forth by DuPont Corporate. The Alliance Contractor Award is presented to only one contractor.
This set of awards is considered very prestigious, since all sites and contractors working worldwide for DuPont in that year are eligible to win if they have met the preset criteria. A contractor has to have a superb service and safety record to win one of these awards, including a zero recordable injuries and a site Total Recordable Frequency Rate less than or equal to the function average.
Dave Adams, Kvaerner Songer's Manager of Chemical Maintenance Projects accepted the the award presented by Lew Coles - DuPont Safety Manager and Bob Heirer - DuPont Business Engineering Manager.
