SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., Aug. 5, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- California Software Corporation (Pink Sheets:CSWP), a leader in Legacy Extension, Business Intelligence and loan production software for banks, credit unions and consumer lending institutions and developer of the award-winning BABY, Unibol, and INFINITE product lines, announced it has signed a new agreement with Unisys Corporation (NYSE:UIS).
"This latest agreement with Unisys will target large enterprise AS/400 and iSeries installations across the Globe. Unisys and California Software will use their combined global reach to provide an easy and fast migration of existing AS/400 users to the Intel and Microsoft-oriented Unisys ES7000 systems," said Carol Conway, President, California Software.
"Unisys and California Software have already begun a seminar series in Asia, Europe and the Americas to meet the significant interest in migrating AS/400-based applications to the Windows platform," said California Software CEO, Bruce Acacio.
This new relationship expands the previous partnership between California Software and Unisys whereby California Software successfully migrated some of Unisys' internal software applications from the iSeries platform to Windows. California Software's INFINITE iSERIES product migrates AS/400-based software applications to Windows, makes them graphical and deploys them to the web -- all without reprogramming or rewriting.
There are roughly 750,000 AS/400 and iSeries systems installed worldwide running approximately 30,000 applications. This market includes the largest base of applications of any other platform.
