Uranium Power Corporation is a Calgary based oil and gas exploration company that has two core projects.
It owns 100% of the Pasquia Hills Oil Shale Project, that has a 4 billion barrel oil resource with 59% of the oil containing benzenes, styrenes and napthalenes, which are valuable petrochemical feedstocks, and which on an after refining basis have a value of $84 per barrel. As part of a feasibility study, production engineering is being analyzed using the Alberta Tacuik Process as well as the advanced Campbell Retort.
In addition, the company owns a 51% interest in the Firebag East Project located within the Athabasca Tar Sands. The project comprises 1,600,000 acres (2,180 square miles) and is the largest land holding in the Athabasca Tar Sands. It is adjacent to four World Class Oil Sand projects, including Suncor, which have reported reserves of 14 billion barrels of oil with planned production of 500,000 barrels of oil per day. Geologic mapping as well as drill data confirm the same potential on the Firebag East Lands. An initial exploration program will include geophysical surveys to delineate and prioritize the prospective targets before drilling to test the prospective pay zones. The Firebag East has the exploration potential for several billions barrels of oil.
