LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Digital Learning Management Corporation (OTCBB:DGTL) today announced that the Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE), State of California, has granted preliminary approval to its Torrance-based Digital Learning Institute (DLI) to start offering vocational programs in Medical Assistant and Medical Billing specialties. The courses will lead to certificates in the two vocational areas.
"At most workplaces, such certificates are a requirement for employment," commented Zeb Bhatti, CEO of Digital Learning Management. "These work places won't hire prospective medical assistants who lack certifications from a State accredited school, like Digital Learning Institute."
Bhatti continued, "These new programs are in line with our goals to diversify subject areas and add medical and nursing programs. We believe that we can increase our enrollment significantly by offering these additional certificate programs." Bhatti further stated, "As the population in the U.S. continues to age, there's an ever increasing demand for Nurses and Medical Assistants. Our medical course offerings are designed to train individuals to fill these positions. In addition, these new medical programs compliment our existing online courses, which are designed to train and place foreign nurses within the U.S."
