STOCK COMMENTARY:

US equities closed to finish the week basically flat, for the most part. Regardless of the fact that Nasdaq stocks underwent a push into the black to close Last Friday's session, largely lukewarm action was seen throughout the markets. Presidential election concerns caused traders to reflect on recent gains, compounded by the end of summer doldrums.

The week ahead starts out surrounded by uncertainty. Earnings that may come in light for some major companies, growing deficit concerns, and a potentially big week for Google and other internet stocks, all provide market participants a great deal to think about.

Market timers perceive the market as, "in need of a pull-back". Subsequently, US equities may be, largely, lower this week. Yet, StockPickReport analysts consider most any short-term weakness as an opportunity to pick up stocks "on the cheap". Spectacular economic numbers last week signal profits in the major exchanges after a brief pullback.
