LAS VEGAS, Sept. 14, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Eclectic Entertainment, a wholly owned subsidiary of OBN Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:OBNH), has signed a deal to co-produce "Bughouse Rock," its first primetime animated television series. The production represents a collaboration between Eclectic Entertainment and Production & Partners Multimedia, a French production company that recently received critical acclaim for its animated production "Panshel's World."
"We are extremely delighted to be a part of the project," stated Donald Wilson, President of Eclectic. "This co-production, which will be produced in the U.S., France and China, sets the stage for Eclectic Entertainment being recognized as an international production company."
"Bughouse Rock" will be distributed worldwide, and will appear on OBN Holdings' subsidiary, Omni Broadcasting Network, in the United States. "I believe that this primetime animated sitcom can do for Omni what `The Simpsons' did for the Fox network," stated Dennis Johnson, Omni's President and General Manager. "`Bughouse Rock' is just another example of how the various OBN subsidiaries can work together seamlessly."
"Bughouse Rock," created by Chancey Hines, is an animated series that will be produced in CGI. The situation comedy takes place under the bottom shelf of a kitchen pantry, below the cans of soup and tuna, in a magical fantasyland where a wacky gang of crazy crawlers lives and plays.
In addition to the production of the series, Eclectic is planning to develop a line of "Bughouse"-related merchandise, as well as a soundtrack that will be released on Eclectic Recording Artists, another OBN Holdings subsidiary.
