New HelpingHand Software Introduces Client Management System For Social Services

Software package simplifies data collection, compliance reporting functions

PITTSFIELD, Mass. , Sept. 14, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- CWK Technology Inc. announces the release of HelpingHand Software, a client management solution designed to increase the efficiency of social service organizations.

The unique software program is designed to record and report the allocation of various goods and services provided by charities and other not-for-profit organizations. The Windows-based program provides a superior and simplified interface to collect and analyze data, including client demographics and review of the distribution of goods and services.

Developed initially for use by the Salvation Army in western Massachusetts, the program addresses the shortcomings of paper-based records prevalent in many social services and non-profit organizations. It creates particular value for social service agencies by simplifying statistical calculations required in grant and fund allocation applications.

"Gathering data on clients can be a very time consuming process for an agency. Often an organization would have to go through entire file cabinets in order to collect the needed client data. This method of collecting data is indeed a lengthy proposition for an agency with hundreds or thousands of clients. Now a few key strokes replace that entire process including the clearing of the file cabinets themselves," says Bill Fezzie, head developer on the project. "And it is so reasonably priced that every agency can afford it within the total scheme of things."

In addition to providing a myriad of data reporting capabilities to donors, directors and compliance agencies, HelpingHand Software can also be used in a variety of other areas such as individual client tracking and grant request submissions. The software provides charities and not-for-profit organizations a comprehensive solution to the everyday demands of accountability, reporting compliance, and productivity improvement and volunteer tracking.

Cynthia Kadel, the President and CEO of CWK Technology, the developer of HelpingHand Software describes this as "a unique tool providing a robust and accurate service with a value that charities can relate to immediately. It sets a charity or non-profit organization apart from the others. Today consumers/donors are better educated and aware. They want to know where their donation dollars are going. Additionally, regulators are demanding compliance with strict, new record keeping rules. It is up to charities and other not-for-profit organizations to provide complete, descriptive data about how the goods and services are used."

CWK feels certain that the HelpingHand Software will give charities and non-profit organizations the ability to operate more efficiently in light of high employee/volunteer turnover and budget restrictions common in these organizations, as well as to provide accurate and up-to-date recipient data.
