Maxus Technology Corporation Supports Alberta Government In Its Recycling Rates Initiative To Reduce Ewaste In Landfill Sites


MORGAN HILL, Calif., Sept. 16, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Maxus Technology Corporation, (OTCBB:MXUS) a leading provider of eWaste and Asset Recovery solutions, today announced that it supports the actions taken by the Alberta Government to set a recycling fee for electronics throughout the province. Alberta, Canada will begin collecting the fees through a non-profit organization called the Alberta Recycling management Authority in October 2004. Recycling fees for computers will start at $5 for laptops or electronic notebooks, $8 for printers, $10 for computer processors, and $12 for computer monitors. "This type of eWaste Recycling Fee program is in line with what other governments are considering across North America as an ever increasing number of communities take action towards the handling of a growing waste stream." said David Smith, CEO of Maxus Technology Corporation.
