QLogic Introduces Fibre Channel Infrastructure for Microsoft Data Protection Server

Enables Multiple Data Protection Servers to Share Storage on a SAN


ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Sept. 20, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- QLogic Corp. (Nasdaq:QLGC), the company that powers storage area networks (SANs), today introduced comprehensive Fibre Channel infrastructure support for Microsoft Data Protection Server. Companies that deploy Data Protection Server will have the cost-effective option of sharing storage with a high-availability, high-performance Fibre Channel storage area network. QLogic SANblade Fibre Channel host bus adapters provide the ability for Data Protection Server to interface to a SAN, while SANbox Fibre Channel switches provide a switched fabric between Data protection Server and popular storage systems from major OEMs including Dell, EMC, HP, IBM and Sun.
