PalmOne, Inc. (Nasdaq:PLMO)
Handheld computing and communications devices provider PalmOne, Inc. released fiscal first quarter financial results after the closing bell Monday, reporting non- GAAP earnings that fell year-over-year despite higher revenues. The company reported non- GAAP net income for the quarter of $21.9 million, or $0.43 per share, compares to a non-GAAP net loss in the first quarter of fiscal year 2004 of $14.1 million, or $0.48 per share.
On a GAAP basis, the company posted a net income for the quarter of $19.59 million, or $0.38 per share, compared to a net loss of $21.74 million, or $0.74 per share, in the same period last year. Revenues for the quarter rose to $273.1 million, the company revealed, up 62 percent from $168.6 million posted in the year-ago quarter. On average, 7 analysts surveyed by First Call had expected the company to post revenues of $268.07 million.
Shares of PLMO closed Monday's regular trading session higher by 1.63 at $37.28, but was trading lower by 2.36 in the after-hours market.
Wireless Facilities Inc. (Nasdaq:WFIIE)
Wireless Facilities Inc., an independent provider of systems engineering and network services to wireless carriers, enterprise customers and government agencies, announced Monday that it has filed its restated financial statements and Form 10-Q for the second quarter.
Consequent to the filing of the documents, the company said that it will now request Nasdaq to terminate the delisting process. The company said it further hoped to shortly resume trading on the Nasdaq under the WFII ticker symbol.
WFIIE closed Monday's regular trading session up $ 0.21 at $6.56.
