STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 29, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Industri-Matematik International Corp. (IMI) today announced the appointment of Per Norling as Managing Director of the Swedish Company as well as Country Manager Nordic Region. Based in Stockholm, Norling will be responsible for the company's Nordic region operations, including both customer focused software, services and support solutions as well as the company's internal operations. Per Norling has a strong track record of success in building an enterprise. His extensive background prepares him to successfully expand the firm's market opportunity and customer quality initiatives in the consumer and retail software markets where the company has a strong focus on supply chain and logistics software solutions. Norling was until May 2000 Chief Operating Officer of Baan Company in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He joined Baan in 1994 as Managing Director of the Nordic region, established a network of offices, partners and resellers, and grew Baan Nordic at a rate of 100 per cent year-on-year -- creating one of the company's most successful regions. He managed the UK operations in parallel during 1996 as well with a 100% growth.
More recently Norling was business leader for the EMEA region of Descartes Systems Group (DSG) and a member of the DSG Operations Team where he was responsible for offices in countries throughout Europe.
