NIS Roaming aggregates devices running the Nomadix Service Engine (NSE) that are owned and/or operated by venue owners and public access service operators (PASOs) to create a large, managed roaming footprint for service provider's subscribers. At the same time NIS Roaming aggregates nomadic subscribers for NSE owners and operators once they opt into the NIS Roaming program. Aside from its large scale, Nomadix' NIS Roaming is unique in that it delivers carrier class service levels, and features a carrier class clearinghouse, settlement and billing solution provided by Convergys Corporation (NYSE:CVG). For those service providers, such as mobile or wireline operators, that utilize NSE-enabled gateways for their owned public access infrastructure, NIS Roaming represents the ability to create a large, high-availability footprint without the capital outlay to build it. That footprint then presents the same user experience since it is NSE-based.
