Energy stock investors may want to take a look at a little known company called Silver Star Energy, Inc. (OTCBB:SVSE), a company committed to exploring and developing oil and natural gas reserves throughout western North America through high quality, low risk prospects provided by key strategic alliance partnerships.
On Wednesday, the company reported on the recent accomplishments that have been achieved and the exploration and development of oil and natural gas reserves throughout western North America undertaken by Silver Star. Silver Star and partners have been developing the North Franklin Project and the tie-in of the "Archer-Whitney #1" natural gas well that is now a near-term commercial gas producer.
SVSE is currently trading at around .70 a share.

Digital video company SeaChange International and its comprehensive VOD System was chosen by ntl Incorporated (Nasdaq:NTLI), the largest cable television operator in the United Kingdom, to support its impending on-demand television service. Initial launch of ntl's on-demand service is slated for the first quarter of 2005, making it Europe's first large-scale, commercial cable on-demand service.
Shares of SEAC closed Wednesday's regular trading session up 0.13 at $15.97 on volume of 472,925 shares.
WebEx Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:WEBX)
Collaborative applications provider WebEx Communications, Inc., announced Wednesday morning that it has signed an agreement with NCR Corporation for the purchase of 5 NCR web conferencing patents issued in the United States, along with foreign counterparts of the patents. The company said that the patents it has acquired were filed between 1993 and 1997, and include systems relating to annotations on images, replicating them, remote collaboration of images, and collaboration for producing copies of image generation. WebEx added that under the agreement, it also obtained licenses to other NCR patents related to web conferencing, and that the parties agreed not to initiate legal actions against each other on other patents in their respective portfolios.
WEBX closed Wednesday's regular trading session up 0.43 at $25.15 on volume of 823,154 shares.
